Employment Related Agreements

The “choice of law” provision in an employment contract is an agreement that, if the parties ever have a dispute leading to legal action, apply the laws of a given state, regardless of where the complaint is itself filed. An employment contract can take the form of a traditional written agreement signed and agreed between the employer and the worker. However, employment contracts are more often “implicit” – oral statements or acts of the employer and the worker, through company memoranda or employee manuals, or through directives adopted during the employee`s employment. An implied contract of employment is a contract derived from comments made during a job interview or employment transport, or from what is said in a training manual or manual.
